Into the Sun: Book 14

After the helicopter landed at the farm and everything seemed to have stopped working, the regional military command began making outrageous demands. Suddenly, Clayton Sanders was being drafted back into the Army, much to his surprise. Army Colonel Hal Woodson paid a visit to the farm and made a heartfelt appeal to both Clayton and Greg Holloway to help restore order to the region.

For Clayton, the task at hand was to escort a convoy of relief supplies in the area. Previous convoys had mysteriously disappeared without a single person or vehicle returning. In a time where supplies were scarce, functioning vehicles were invaluable, and the population had dwindled post-plague, this situation was not only a mystery but a tragedy.

Reluctantly, Clayton agreed to take on the mission. He understood the importance of the task and believed he was capable of accomplishing it, even though he did not particularly want to. He knew it was necessary to do whatever it took to help rebuild his nation, or at least his part of it, and bring it back to its feet. And so, despite his reservations, he was willing to face the challenges ahead, even if it meant journeying into unknown territory under the scorching sun.
